Kris Cartwright
Director of Education
Kris Cartwright received her degree in the Exceptional Child from Southeast Missouri State University and is currently the Director of Education at Sylvan Learning Center in Cape Girardeau. Before joining Sylvan, Kris worked with children for four years in the Jackson School District.
Her husband Brian serves in the 1140th of the Army National Guard and Kris is involved in the Family Support Group of the 1140th.
Brian Gerau
Center Director
Brian Gerau, who is originally from Columbia, Missouri, moved to Jackson in July 2005 to begin as Center Director at the Sylvan Learning Center in Cape Girardeau. He received his bachelors degree from the University of Missouri in 1997 and worked in Real Estate Banking for five years before joining Sylvan.
Brian is involved in both the Cape Girardeau and Jackson Chambers of Commerce and loves Whitecastle hamburgers.
