Michelle Tregoning
Center Director
Michelle holds a BBA in Radio & TV Broadcast Journalism from California State University - Los Angeles, and her Teacher Certification in English from the Los Angeles Unified District Teaching Program. Michelle taught middle school English in Los Angeles, and spent six months as an instructor at the Sylvan Learning Center in Boulder.
Briana Weber
Director of Education
Briana holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and a teaching certification in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Briana started with Sylvan as an instructor and test administrator, and now oversees the educational programs. Teaching kids of all ages is her passion, and you can still find her teaching whenever she can.
Carrie Smalley
Lead Instructor/Test Administrator
Carrie earned a B.S. in Human Development from the University of California, Davis, and her California Teaching Credential from California State University, Sacramento. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University. Carrie taught Kindergarten and first grade for six years before coming to Sylvan two years ago. Carrie enjoys working with the students in our Beginning Reading program.
Corey Bruns
Instructor
Corey earned his B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He recently earned his Ph.D in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has been an instructor there since 2001. Corey teaches math to students of all ages, from Kindergarten all the way through Calculus.
Virginia D'Orazio
Instructor
Virginia graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and Italian from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has taught Spanish, English and Journalism in both New York and Colorado. She was the founder of Longmont Academy, and is excited to be working with students again. Virginia teaches everything from Beginning Reading to Algebra.
Pam Flanagan
Instructor
Pam graduated from Purdue University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She currently works at Twin Peaks Charter Academy. At Sylvan, Pam teaches reading, math and writing.
Jonathan Larson
Instructor
Jonathan holds a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Writing. He taught in the St. Vrain Valley School District for over thirty years. At Sylvan, Jonathan teaches the Verbal section of the ACT and SAT seminars in addition to teaching reading, math and writing.
Kristy Moore
Instructor
Kristy holds a B.A. in Human Social Psychological Development/Elementary Education from Gettysburg College, and an M.S. in Kinesiology/Sport Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. She is currently pursing her Ph.D. in Social Psychology of Sport & Physcial Activity/Educational Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Kristy taught fourth grade for three years and has taught all grade levels K-12. She is currently a Teaching Assistant in the Sport and Exercise Science Department at the University of Northern Colorado. Kristy teaches everything from Beginning Reading to Geometry.
Nikki Johnson
Teacher's Assistant/Test Center Administrator
Nikki is a 2008 graduate of Silver Creek High School. She is taking a year off before pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Nikki's goal is to one day work at her former elementary school.
Lisa Sturbaum
Prometric Test Center Manager
Lisa has been with Prometric for over three years. She is a Colorado native who spends her free time outdoors.
